I’m Scott Ryder, and I fix up houses around Davenport and the Quad Cities. Kitchens and baths, roofs and siding, floors, whole gut-jobs when a place needs one — and when the day is done I’ve usually got the dust on me to prove it. This is hands-on work, not something I run from behind a desk.
This site is the running record of it. Every project gets its before and its after, side by side, because that’s the honest way to show what changed: the place the day I got it, and the place the day I handed it back.
It isn’t only houses. There are garages and commercial spaces in here too, and a handful of things I built by hand — tables, benches, carved pieces — because I like making things as much as I like remaking them.
